This week I’m hosting Susan Page Davis with Sheriff’s Surrender and Shirley Connolly with I See God in the Thorns~n~Thistles. If you want to enter the drawing for the book, please leave a comment on one of the post during the week with your email address. I will not enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (Dec. 13th) evening.

Interview with the heroine:

Since my book is a personal devotional, the heroine becomes the person who reads it. The HERO of course is God, but I cannot answer for HIM.

With your permission I will place my name here for now.

1. Shirley, tell me the most interesting thing about you. Could it be that I talk to my animals sometimes more than I talk to people? It is great when they answer, and then never argue.

2. What do you do for fun? Besides taking my dogs for walks, and moving furniture around my house to make it appear to me that I’ve just moved in to a new place, probably it is the time I spend with my hobbies which are numerous, depending on the mood I’m in.

3. What do you put off doing because you dread it? I don’t put it off, but I dread turning on my computer in the early morning, only because, with trepidation, I’m not sure if it is going to work well that day. (My vow is never to purchase another Vista.) If there was something I put off, it might be putting the laundry away that I have to fold everyday.

4. What are you afraid of most in life? My fears have changed somewhat over the years. I don’t like to fly alone anymore and I don’t like to spend a lot of time at a store if no one is with me. Probably, it’s because of my SD.

5. What do you want out of life? To see my loved ones all want to serve the Lord and love His Word and desire to grow in their faith.

6. What is the most important thing to you? My relationship with Jesus Christ, Margaret. Yes, I can’t think of anything more important than that.

7. Do you read? Oh yes! If so, what is your favorite type of book to read? Now that too depends on my mood. I love devotionals, I love historical fiction and romance, I love old Gothics that aren’t new agey (Is there such a word or phrase as that), I love writing helps books, and I love old commentaries when I am preparing to speak at women’s retreats and my Koinonia Ladies Studies. Maybe you should have asked me what I didn’t like to read.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I wouldn’t have a Seizure Disorder, but, alas, that is my thorn in the flesh, I’ve learned.

9. Do you have a pet? Oh yes! If so, what is it and why that pet? Two dogs, three cats, seven chickens all named, and all who follow me everywhere. I used to have goats and turkeys and geese and ducks too. Why them? Because they are loyal. What better friend could a person have?

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why? Probably the 1800s for when I write my historical fiction books, I always want to go back to that era and that is where I find myself doing the most research.
