My summer reading

Just popping in to say hi to everyone. I’ve been busy trying to write a book before I go to the ACFW conference in Denver in September. This book will be out next July, the second one in my home schooling series. It’s called Heart of a Cowboy.

Also wanted to thank my wonderful husband, Mike, for thirty-nine years of marriage. Today is our anniversary.

I have managed to read a book for pleasure–which lately has been hard for me to do with my writing. I read my favorite author–James Rollins. His new book out this summer is The Doomsday Key, and I really enjoyed it. Talk about cliffhangers for endings to scenes and chapters. He does a great job. It’s a suspense/adventure book which is my favorite to read. He transports me to another world–one I personally wouldn’t want to be involved in but love to read. Running for your life–nearly dying several times–is fun to read but I doubt to experience.

From the book cover of The Doomsday Key:
Sigma Force confronts humankind’s greatest threat in an adventure that races from the Roman Coliseum to the icy peaks of Norway, from the ruins of medieval abbeys to the lost tombs of the Celtic kings. The ultimate nightmare if locked with a talisman buried by a dead saint–an ancient artifact known as the Doomsday Key.

So now that you know what I’ve been reading. What books are you reading this summer?
