I have been retired again now for a week. Yay! In that time I finished my rough draft of the 5th book in the Fostered by Love series for Love Inspired. This is Lisa Morgan’s story and it will be out in November 2009. Lisa is one of my most flawed characters and through the series she has really grown. That’s what is fun about writing a series. Anyway I am taking a day off (rare) and not writing. I’m gonna play before I jump in and polish the book and get it into the mail to my editor by next weekend. Another yay!!!
Two pieces of good news: I sold two more Love Inspired Suspense books. One will be part of the 2010 Love Inspired Suspense continuity about the Witness Protection Program. My book is called Cowboy Protector and is the third one–March 2010. That sounds so far in the future, but it is only a year and three and a half months away. The other book is a novella in an anthology with Debby Giusti which will be out in December 2009. It will have a Christmas theme, my first for Love Inspired Suspense.
Also I wanted to tell you about a blog that I am participating in that is having a big Christmas contest with the theme the 12 days of Christmas (our version). The prize is a $50 gift certificate to an online bookstore. You will need to leave a comment during the contest to be entered. I am going to start it with the first day of Christmas on this Wednesday. Guess what the theme for that day is? One flamingo in a tutu! Doesn’t that sound like me.
