Congratulations, Carole. You are the winner of Lynette Sowell’s A Suspicion of Strawberries. Mary, congratulations. You are Bonnie Leon’s winner for Longings of the Heart. And last but not least, Cindi, congratulations. You are Camy Tang’s winner for Single Sashimi.

This week I will be hosting two authors. Laurie Kingery, a inspirational historical romance author writing for Love Inspired Historical, and Donn Taylor, a Christian suspense/mystery writer. If you want to be entered in the drawing for either of their new books, please leave a comment with your email address or email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawing will end next Sunday night. I will post Laurie’s interview on Tuesday and Donn’s on Thursday.

Laurie Kingery:

Laurie Kingery is makes her home in central Ohio where she is a “Texan-in-exile.”
Formerly writing as Laurie Grant for Harlequin Historicals and other publishers, she is the author of sixteen previous books and the winner of 1994 winner of the “Readers’ Choice Award” in the short historical category and has been nominated for “Best first medieval” and “Career Achievement in Western Historical Romance” by “Romantic Times.” When not writing her historicals, she loves to travel, read, read her email and write her blog on www.lauriekingery.com.

About her book: Hill Country Christmas

Overnight, Delia Keller went from penniless preacher’s granddaughter to rich young heiress. She’s determined to use her money to find the security she’s always lacked. And building herself a new house by Christmas is her first priority. But handsome Jude Tucker is challenging her plans and her heart….

The former Civil War chaplain hasn’t felt peace in a very long time, and he has a hard time letting go of his past. But as Jude gets to know the spirited Delia, he longs to show her what true Christmas joy means. In the rugged Texas Hill Country, he’ll reach for a miracle to restore his faith…and give Delia his love for all seasons.

Donn Taylor:

Donn Taylor led an Infantry rifle platoon in the Korean War, served with Army aviation in Vietnam, and worked with air reconnaissance and intelligence collection in Europe and Asia. Afterwards, he completed a PhD degree at The University of Texas and taught English literature (Renaissance) at two liberal arts colleges. His poetry has appeared in leading journals and has been collected in his book Dust and Diamond: Poems of Earth and Beyond. In fiction, he has authored The Lazarus File, a suspense novel, and Rhapsody in Red, a light-hearted mystery. He and his wife live near Houston, where he continues to write fiction, poetry, and articles on current topics.

About Rhapsody in Red (I love this title!):

It Was a Bad Day to Find a Corpse on Campus. Preston Barclay is a self-made recluse (and he likes it that way). Teaching college history allows him time to grieve the loss of his pianist wife and find relief from the musical hallucinations that have been playing in his head since her death. But when he and headstrong colleague, Mara Thorn, discover the body of another instructor on campus, Press’s monotonous solitude is shaken up.

When the preliminary evidence singles out Press and Mara, they must take some chances (including trusting each other) to build their own defense—by bending the rules just a little bit.

They form an unlikely alliance to stay ahead of the police, the college’s wary and incompetent administration, and whoever is trying to get away with murder. Or else they both might end up unemployed, behind bars, or worse…
