Interview with the heroine:
1. Venus, tell me the most interesting thing about you.
When I was in my teens and early twenties, I won a few major video game tournaments. It got me some cash, a bit of recognition, and it helped propel me into my career of video game development. What this means for most people is that I can probably beat you at Halo.
2. What do you do for fun?
Play video games. No, I’m serious.
3. What do you put off doing because you dread it?
Calling my mother. I mean, if you knew her, you’d understand. Serious psychological issues. Growing up with her was torment.
4. What are you afraid of most in life?
Germs. Bleach is my friend.
5. What do you want out of life?
I’d like to one day own the top video game development company in the world, and everyone will call me Mistress of the Universe. Well, except for my cousin Lex, who will just laugh at me.
6. What is the most important thing to you?
My privacy means a lot, and I go to some extreme measures to protect it. My house is small so people don’t come over often, except for my cousins and my friend and partner Jaye and his wife. Jaye helped me develop my new development tool, the Spiderweb, and so privacy is important to me also because of that. I’ve devoted years to it, and it’s my key to becoming top video game developer in the country.
7. Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read?
I read my Bible every morning, without fail. But I also admit I love the tabloids. I don’t know why, and I figure, it’s better than drinking, right? I usually have Star and People on my coffeetable.
8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
A part of me almost wishes I hadn’t lost so much weight when I was twenty-five. It changed how men treated me—men whom I had trusted as coworkers and friends. It made me realize that they didn’t really respect me for my abilities, just what I could do for them. I pretty much hate all men now, but one in particular.
9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet?
NO. See above about germs. I won’t even own a fish.
10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why?
Do I have to travel back in time? I’d rather travel forward in time and see all the cool new technology that develops.
Thanks for having me here, Margaret!
Venus
Thanks for a fun interview, Margaret!
Camy
LOL
I already have the book. This is hilarious because Camy totally brought out these details in the story. So funny!
Thanks for sharing Margaret and Camy!
I haven’t read this yet, but it sounds so funny. I think Venus could very well end up being my favorite of the cousins. Funny, I said I could identify with Trish more than Lex after reading Only Uni. Maybe it’s just whichever book I’ve most recently read/am wanting to read has my fave in it.
Anyway, I’d love to win the drawing. My e-mail addy is as follows… oceandreamerfla(at)aol(dot)com
