Congratulations, Cindy. You are the winner of Nancy Jo Jenkins’s book, Coldwater Revival.

This week I’m hosting Michelle Cox and John Perrodin who are the authors of Simple Little Words, a nonfiction book. They are offering a copy of this book for a drawing. The drawing will end next Sunday night. If you want to enter please leave a comment with your email address in it or email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. There are still three more days (until Thursday) to enter the drawing for Denice Stewart’s Where Would Cows Hide?, a young adult mystery.

The bios of the authors of Simple Litte Words:

John Perrodin is Senior Editor for the Jerry B. Jenkins Christian Writers Guild. He has written three YA novels with Jerry in the Renegade Spirit series. For 12-plus years he worked at Focus on the Family and served as Special Assistant to Dr. James C. Dobson. He and his wife, Sue, live in Colorado Springs.

Michelle Cox is a speaker, co-author (with John Perrodin) of Simple Little Words: What You Say Can Change a Life, and the author of Mothers Who Made a Difference. She writes frequently for various publications at Focus on the Family, has written greeting card text, and recently taped as part of a DVD small group curriculum on parenting and marriage for Focus on the Family. She and her husband, Paul, live near Asheville, North Carolina.

I have some good/bad news.

The good news is that Heart of the Amazon is a finalists in the National Reader’s Choice Contest.

The bad news is that my doctor told me today I have whooping cough. Talk about being surprise because I thought it was a children’s illness. But more and more adults are getting it because the vaccines we took as children have worn off. At least it explains this dry wracking cough I’ve got. I thought it was all connected to my long running sinus problems. Even more bad news it can last for months sometimes.
