Heart of the Family
Women, Dr. Jacob Hartman knew, were a mystery. Take the first time he met social worker Hannah Smith at the Stone Refuge home for foster children. This series, Fostered by Love, means a lot to me. Heart of the Family is the second in the series and delves into a subject that is dear to my heart–our children. They are the future, and we must protect them and care for them. As a teacher I have seen what happens when this doesn’t occur. In the book I present two situations that often happens with a child in foster care. Some go back to their family and some don’t. Some get adopted and some don’t. Good foster parents are important to the foster care system in this country. My thanks go out to all of them. This book is for you.
